2022 Manatee County Stand Down
Manatee County Stand Down is on Nov 5th!
*** Free shuttle with pick-up at Turning Points and Salvation Army starting at 6:30am on Nov 5th. Free MCAT bus services to Stand Down throughout Manatee County. Tell the Driver you are going to Stand Down. Sarasota County Area Transit will provide free service on the Rt#99 with Manatee County Area Transit. ***
Stand Down focuses on helping veterans and non-veterans who on on the brink of homelessness or who are experiencing homelessness, receive critical needs services. Anyone who comes to Stand Down receives services that day. Plus there is live music, food, fun, and great camaraderie all morning!
If you are a veterans agency or group, social services agency, church or community group and you would like to have a table at Stand Down, please download this form and email it back to Andy Guyre email@example.com by Oct 15th Stand Down 2022 Vendor Participant Form
These services include:
Amnesty Court (only for Veterans)
General and Mental Health Screenings (including flu and COVID vaccines)
Distribution of Hygiene Products
Florida ID/Drivers License (only for Veterans)
The Open Door Band will be performing all morning.
Veterans Amnesty Court will be at Stand Down too!
Veterans Amnesty Court can assist with:
– Unpaid court fees/fines (closed cases)
– Unpaid traffic fines/fees
– Driver’s license assistance
Veterans Amnesty Court is for veterans ONLY.
But remember, anyone who comes to Stand Down receives services that day.
